4870 keeps crashing

My 4870 keeps crashing to a black screen from LOTRO and displays D1601 (Crit Temp) but looking at my VRM and GPU temps in everest they look fine. I don't know why this keeps happening.

Just fixed mine - same issue with Furmark. The VRMs are overheating. If you are using stock cooling - crank up the fan, after market or water take a look from start to finish of my thread here -

You need active cooling (not just a 120mm blowing a touch of air) over the VRMs or it will goto a black screen.
