Hi everyone,

Long time lurker.
4870 died today when I tried to launch Rift. D601 Critical Power Issue.
Damn card always gave me problems anyways.

My system is:

E8400 at 3.7
Asus P5Q Pro
700W Antec
4 GB Ram
Blah blah blah
I use 1920x1200 resolution

I game heavily, but it's only at medium settings obviously since my hardware is quite old.
I'm planning on a Sandy bridge build later this year, but we're closing on a house in 2 weeks, and I can't spend the cash on a new build just yet.

What card should I get to hold me over for 6-9 months that is better than the 4870 512mb?
I'm not looking to spend more than $150 if possible.

ATi or Nvidia. Doesn't matter much. Looking for best bang for buck.

Thank you

HD 6850 is what your looking for. Here's Newegg listing. I like the Gigabyte Windforce or the Sapphire.

edit: Opps, didn't notice the Giga was OOS. Sapphire is nice.
