I just bought a 4870 and put it in my old computer equiped with a E6400, Asus P5E X38 mobo, 2Gb of memory and a Zalman 600W power supply.

I saw a big boost in framerate in every game that I have.

Last week I've build a mini pc so I bought a Gigabyte EG31M-S2 mATX mobo (G31 chipset) and kept everything else that I had in my old computer (see above).

With a fresh install of Windows XP SP3 and onboard video disabled, my framerates have dropped seriously in the low 20's in my games. :(

I've tried the 8.6 driver with the hotfix and the 8.7 beta driver but no difference. Video card temp are fine and I have no problems other then the low framerates in games.

Anybody to give me a clue here ? Could it be the PCIE 1.1 that is bottlenecking the card ??

Thanks for your help !

That's what I thought at first but I've checked alost every settings in the bios and everything is ok...so I was just asking the question in case lol.

Cause I can't figure out what the problem is. :(
