K so I just installed the new 8.7 drivers from the offical website...now whenever I join a game in CS:S or CS 1.6, my game would freeze after one second and close itself with no msg. Anyone else get this?
 
Did you uninstall your old drivers and clear everything out (Ccleaner, DriverCleaner) before installing the new drivers?
 
I had serious problems with HL based games on 8.7 and rolled back to 8.6 hotfix. This is the first time it has happened.....

well I've had the same card before. I just clicked on updates and it did it by itself. Didn't tell me to delete anything.
 
weird thing is, CS:CZ works, TF2 also works. However, I did not play those 2 games on that day. I did, however, play CS:S and CS 1.6. I tried reinstalling those games off steam but the same thing happens. Should I just do a system restore and forget about 8.7?
