will this video card operate smoothly on my system in my sig? I'm pretty sure it will. I want to double check though. Thanks
 
with a better psu, yes absolutely. you'll also have to overclock that q6600 to at least 3ghz to get the most out of the card. newegg has it right now for 299.99. they have a habit of dropping it lower during the weekends. i bought mine a few weekends ago for 279.99.
 
damn i didnt wanna get a new psu lol..but i might have to..thanks for that info.
 
520HX if you want to save some money, should be able to handle the 4850X2.
 
620HX ftw, ran a 280 ftw and then a x2 on a 620hx, 1 the greatest bang for the buck psu's evar!

btw, frys has the 620hx for 129.99 and then a 40.00 mail in rebate...=89.99!!
 
hmm, my local frys (alpharetta, ga.) had it displayed and the salesman was the one that pointed it out to me.

not sure if you can get a price match, but they a ton of them, I guess they were just trying to clear out the inventory
 
the PSU you have should be fine, just not recommended. all you have is 1 HDD and I assume DVD/CD drives right,? with only 4GB of RAM ?

it will just be borderline; I ran mine on a 500W OCZ mod for a while before I swapped it with a 700W
