4850 to 4870x2?

Hey, I have a 512mb 4850 right now and a 19 inch lcd. I play at 1280 x 1024. But i'm planning on upgrading to a 22"+ as soon as I find a decent price or next time im in costco. I can get a 4870x2 for 220$ plus my card, this seems like a good deal especially since i'm in canada. Would any of my other parts bottleneck this card? I play source games like l4d, cs:s and soon going to get cod4, or 5. Would it be worth it? I've never played anything higher than my current res and the 4870x2 might just be a complete waste at 1680 x 1050 or the typical native res at the lcd's i'm probably going to get.

How much can you get a 4890 for?
A 4890 is about 90% faster than a 4850 512mb.
Your 4850 will handle most games at 16x10 anyways.

I have a 4850 and max everything in DX9 @1920x1200.
 
4890's are like 280 plus taxes, so if I sell my card it'd come to 140. Also, I briefly looked at a 4890 review and i'm pretty sure it was almost dead on with a 4870 1 gig. What has everyone else been looking at?
 
At the very least, hold onto the 4850 and try the games out with it after you get your 22" monitor, chances are you'll be satisfied enough that you don't want to blow more money on upgrading the GPU.
 
the 4850 would work fine on a 22" monitor.. 4870x2 would be a waste of money.. if you find that the 4850 doesnt suit your likings you when you switch to a 22" monitor then go with the 4890..

take a look at the reviews and you will see that the 4850 isnt a slouch..

4890 isn't nearly that expensive. The 4890 is also about 10%+ at stock and upwards of 15-20% when overclocked, faster than the 4870.

Yea, the thing is i'm in Canada. I'll post it more clearly in my first post. I'll go ahead and wait a little more. I was actually going to get a asus 23" from newegg.ca with free shipping and was pissed to find they only take CC and paypal...
