4850 + e8400 or just a 4870.

I have a e4400 @ 3.4 ghz, i could put just a single 4870 in there or i can buy an e8400 and then also add a 4850. the price would be roughly the same.
 
If your at over 3 ghz I think you have nothing to worry about as far as gaming goes.
 
depends on what resolution you game on but id say getting the e8400 is a waste if youre already at 3.4
 
Dual to dual makes no sense dude, especially since you are over 3Ghz. Either upgrade to quad, or just get the better GPU. Besides the 4870 is rocking haha.
 
Yeah, at that resolution your GPU will limit you a lot more before your CPU does. If you were at 1280 x 1024, a E8400 + 4850 would be a better choice
