Before I enabled dual monitor, the core clock on my 4850 will automatically reduce to 160/500 when I am in 2D mode. After I enabled dual monitor, the clocks are not reducing anymore. How can I fix this?

Here is my BIOS setting (use ATI RBE):
Clock info state 0: 625/993
Clock info state 1: 160/500
Clock info state 2: 500/750
Clock info state 3: 750/1100
Clock info state 4: 160/500 (locked)
Clock info state 5: 500/750 (locked)
Clock info state 6: 750/1100 (locked)
Clock info state 7: 750/1100
Clock info state 8: 750/1100 (locked)
Clock info state 9: 750/1100 (locked)

alright, I'll answer my own question. I somewhat got it fixed, through try and error. I'd be happy to share whatever I found if anyone's interested.

To make the long story short. I got the clock management working by fiddling with the bios, but there is one major side effect: My secondary monitor will flicker wildly if I started 3D mode (ie. start a game). I've tried 2 configurations, both exhibits the same problem.

2D / 3D
160MHz / 750MHz
625MHz / 750MHz

The only way to make my secondary monitor not flicker is to set 2D / 3D clocks to the same value. If you have dual monitor setups like me, do you have clock management enabled? do you experience flicker when you enter 3D mode? do you overclock? I'd like to get these info from you, so maybe I can figure out the cause for the problem.
