Has anybody here actually got a 4800 & 3800 to work in xfire? I know there's some articles out there but I want to know if there's firsthand H user experience with this. I'm planning on upgrading 4870 from my 3870 but if I can xfire my current card with a 4850 I might just go that route and save some dough.

If it was/is possible, I don't think you'd see gains enough to get you up to the 4870 experience. Plus, who knows how it would handle AA?
