Hey guys I'm looking to purchase a 900D here soon, and want to do 2x 480mm rad's one in the top, one in the bottom, and use my current 240mm in the bottom left.. but I don't know what are the best 480's to go with at this point in time?

I'd like to note I'm going to be doing push/pull with the Corsair 120 High Performance Edition, I believe they are 2350 RPM fans. From what I've read they're not that loud for that speed either.

Not that loud for that speed, but still pretty damn loud. Even my Gentle Typhoons @2150 RPM are fairly loud, and they're considered one of the quietest high speed fans.

Dual 480s with 2000+ RPM fans are complete overkill unless you're planning on running TECs on everything with quad SLI titans and a 3960x overclocked to the max. I suggest you revise your plans, and post what you're planning to cool.

To answer your question though, the Black Ice GTX radiators are the best radiators to use in push/pull with high speed fans. Hands down, no doubt about it.

I'm cooling SLI GTX Titans, RIVE Rampage IV Extreme , and a 3930k planning on OC'ing to 5ghz or so.
I currently have the fans in my pc atm, and they're not that bad. The only one that is extremely loud is the H80I fan I'm temporarily using that's running at like 2600 RPM lol.

Push/pull high speed fans, Black Ice radiators are unbeatable. Overall performance in all fan speed ranges, the Alphacool Nexxxos Monsta and UT60 are the best.

I would say go with the Monsta on the top and the UT60 on the bottom (not sure how thick of a radiator the 900D can handle on the bottom). Use a fan controller, turn those fans down to ~800 RPM or so, and enjoy the silence. With 2 480mm radiators, there would be absolutely no need to turn up the fans with your current system. Add two more Titans, and it will continue to laugh at you.

Maybe I didn't understand you right, definitely a go on the fan controller, but about the rads. You said the black ice rads are unbeatable, then telling me to go with the monsta/ut60?

Unless those are branches off of the black ice rads? Sorry for the noobness. ;)

And I'm not quite sure how big of a rad the 900D can handle on the bottom.

The Black Ice GTX radiator (specifically GTX) performs the best with high speed fans. However, due to it being optimized for high speed, it doesn't perform as well with low speed fans. The Alphacool Nexxxos Monsta and UT60 are optimized for lower fan speed ranges, and thus won't perform as well at the high speeds, but perform better than the GTX at lower speeds.

Ahh I got ya. I was reading up about the rad space that the 900D has, and I do believe that it has room for only a 480 60mm thick push-pull rad at the top and bottom, but i do believe the monsta 80mm thick rads would only be able to fit a push or pull -- according to this guy in this post on overclock. (http://www.overclock.net/t/1297712/mc-corsair-corsair-900d-godzilla-unveiled/1700)

Now with that being said, I'm going to be using these corsair 120 high performance ones, which I believe stock are running between 2200-2350. I'm not sure if I can change the speeds without a fan controller, but I do want to get one. Either way, what would you propose for the 2x rads, and if I should do a P/P on both 480s? Or what?

Push/pull is always better, I would go with push/pull if you can afford it, it fits, and you can tolerate the noise.

The differences between the UT60/Monsta and the GTX radiators are likely minimal with your hardware, so I would go with the UT60/Monsta, since that also gives you the option of going low speed later on.

The UT60 is a 60mm thick rad isn't it, while the Monsta is a 86mm? I know the UT60 P/P can fit without any problems, but I'm not sure if the Monsta will fit with P/P, I believe it'd only fit with push or pull.

I think the Monsta would fit on top in push/pull, not completely sure though. If it does, I would go with one Monsta and one UT60.

And with my current fans (2350 RPM) there shouldn't be any issues right? Sorry for all the questions, just making sure I don't buy something and end up not using it.. done that before, such a waste.

There won't be any issues. You won't get maximum performance out of those fans like you could with the GTX radiators, but you have a radiator better suited for low speed fans. Not to mention, as I said, two 480s are complete overkill for your system. Add two more overclocked Titans and it will still be overkill, especially with push/pull 2350 RPM fans.

So if I was to actually get two of the GTX Black Ice rads for the 2350 fans what are the drawbacks? Just the sound?

If you keep them at 2350 RPM, just the sound. If you decide to lower the speed, you won't get as good performance as compared to the Monsta and UT60. However, with push/pull, it will still be good, and still be more than sufficient for your system.

I have dual Monsta 480s (build log with pictures will be forthcoming in a while). They are amazing performers with Noctua F's or Nidec AP15s, but the fit and finish leaves a bit to be desired.

Well see I already have the corsair fans, that's what I was trying to find what would go best with them rad wise.

Then again I suppose I can always adjust the fan speed to lower if I was using the Monsta/UT60 opposed to the black ice rads at 2350.
