480 being shipped

I love how people use these questionable sources as facts.

People have posted enough Videocardz links a lot of them believe it to be fact by now :p

I think it's all fairly reasonable. Aside from some of the benchmark charts which lack any context and don't match other results.

1600+++ overclocking speeds confirmed!
funny?

This somewhat bothers me you claim that videocardz is just a shit website and post about anything then what you dislike about videcardz you do it yourself in the next reply you post something no link no validation.

I have never claimed Videocardz was a shit site, it's good for card news and RUMORS. The fact that they post news doesn't make the rumors true, and the rumors don't make the actual news wrong.

VG was close enough with their 1070 numbers - grain of salt are not, rumors can still have use.

I love rumors! Facts can be so misleading, where rumors, true or false, are often revealing

There's been a number of people on various sites that have said they work retail and have been getting shipments of them for the last couple of weeks.

call me shallow but my biggest gripe with the 480 is the back of the card that is 1/2 pcb 1/2 plastic... If they put a cover on it That would be awesome!

Looks like XFX has solved this problem for you. They use a full rear cover.

They might have removed it. According to chiphell, Sapphire got butthurt and XFX took off the pics showing the backplate. XFX support says you can sue if it doesn't come with backplate.

hoping to snag a 8gb 480 and a 4gb 470 on launch day myself. Maybe even 2 480's plus a 470. Looking to update many rigs and really looking forward to not just some performance increase but the lack of heat/watts.
