4770K 2014 Batches

Have a couple of mates looking to upgrade to 4770K builds (they can get it for $230 ea).
My 4770Ks are from a much older batch (L3xxxx).

Any idea how the newer 2014-year Costa Rica batches (ie. 34xxxxx) OC?

I recently just got a 4770k, haven't tried to oc it at all, but I can tell you it runs alot cooler than my 4770k from last year. My old one would load around 70c on custom watercooling loop. The new one about 60c full load. Could be thermal goop lottery or maybe they have gotten better at applying the right amount and attaching the heat spreader better.
 
I can tell you out of the three we got, two were from CR and one Mal, the CR ones won't even do 4.4. These are all from the Intel deal however.
