Why is there a dearth of info here? How does this compare with a 4850? I am really looking for the best card for less than $200 that is passively cooled, and I prefer one that doesn't use extra power. The 4670, I heard, is one of the most efficient GPU's out there, but how does its' performance stack up against at least SOMETHING else that is commonly reviewed?

I run a 9600GTS now and that is sufficient, but I want to get an ATI board to go with an Asus/ATI AM3 MB for another PC.
 
It performs pretty similar to a HD3850. I would put it above a stock 8800gs/9600gso and a little below a 9600gt. It's pretty amazing on how much power it only uses.
 
I use a HD4670 and it should be a little bit below a 9600GT. I can play most games at 1280 x 1024 with most/all settings turned up and 1600 x 1200 on medium-ish settings.
 
I was looking to get the Sapphire 4670 for a dual-screen setup combined with two Dell 2007FP's - would this be a good setup?

I don't ever play games but just want a good graphics card to power the dual 2007FP's which run at 1600 x 1200 - would this fit the bill or should I look at something else?

I can't agree with that. That card appears to only have a VGA + DVI connection. I think he'd be better off geting a card that has 2 DVI connections because it would be rather odd to have one monitor looking fuzzier than the other due to the whole VGA/DVI difference.

The 4750 (higher end R740) should be under $100 and be between the 4830 &4850. That's based on the info I can find on the internet. Things might change a bit before it rolls out but that's a h*ll of a price/performance.

The 4670 is a pretty decent card for the money. I have one for a stop gap atm. It plays games with fairly high settings at 1280x1024 (an old CRT waiting to be replaced). If you play @/near that resolution then the 4670 is more than enough.
 
 
 
The 4670 is a decent card if you want a lower power solution. If you want best bang for the buck I would go with a 4830 right now, or wait for the price cuts to take effect on the 4850 and 4870. Those offer significantly more horsepower.
