45nm C2D and OCing

so im thinking of getting a new CPU this summer
i want to go with a a C2D or C2Q may end up with a dual core do to lack of funds

if i do go with a dual core how are the new 45nm chips as fare as overclocking goes or should i go with one of the older cores?

im thinking about E8200 atm
 
You can easily find out by reading reviews.
My E8400 runs 24/7 at 4.13GHz.

My E8400 ran @ 3.8, folding 24/7, with a TR Ultima-90 and a Scythe 92mm PWM fan. Went on the low end of the OC due to a crappy case limiting intake air.

 
well i just looked at the sticky and theres only 1 E8200 in the data base
mind you the guy has it running at 4.0 on air
but im going to guess from the other 45nm parts that its a good core
 
Those with the E8400's, what revision/stepping do you have? Is there a difference like there is with the Q6600s?
 
Mine was batch Q743A748, pack date 2008-01-04, s-spec SLAPL (I think this is the only one for 8400... but not sure)
