I looked at the sticky and I had a feeling some of the stuff might be out-dated (who knows?). The fact that my asphire psu is still working and is great vs. the sticky's unrecommended psu including asphire makes me wonder if name brands are just names.

I need around a 420 watt psu to fit my 6800gt, s939 3000+ (hopefully venice), 2x120gb, MSI mobo, 2x1gb Geil rams, etc.

I don't want to spend a lot of money (less than $50) so if anyone has similiar setups, please post what kind of psu you have, how much it was, how long you had it, and if you recommend it or not.

I have a similar set up as you, I am looking into buying the Xclio 450W PSU at newegg. Its $52, and made from the same oem stuff as antec. just do a search for it at the egg.

Actually manufacturers make a difference in PSU's as a rough guidline much like any other PC part. Do you buy a PCCHips mobo and expect much from it?

Any way, watts don't matter it is amps. Have you run the calculator in the how to buy sticky? What other features are you looking for? Efficent, modular, quiet, upgradeable, "bling"?
