I'm seeing if any of you have any ideas on my problem. I've got a Shuttle SP25P2V2 with an E0 Q9550, 4x2GB G.Skill PC2-8000 ram, a Visiontek HD4850, 1.5GB and 400GB Barracudas, and the assorted other less important things. I can run everything at stock voltage at 400x8.5 with no issues. I bump up to anything higher than 400 and the system locks up on POST. I've tried jacking any and all voltages up with no affect. I had this problem with my older 2x2GB PC2-6400 ram too. The temperatures are 43 degrees celsius for the system and 52 degrees celsius for the cpu when sitting in the BIOS. In Windows I get 56 load on the cpu running Prime95 (one runs at 51 instead of being consistent with the other 3 cores). Of course, this is with the "Ultra-Low" bios setting for the cpu fan - still a bit noisy though.

I've tried removing the hard drives and using one stick of ram but with no luck. I've tried 430 and 450 fsb jumps with no luck (with voltages changes and with the cpu multiplier turned to 6x). What is wrong with my combo? I'm just trying to get an overclock in this thing until I receive my cooler for my matx build but nothing is working as it should when using a front side bus higher than 400.
 
I have the one before the latest - which didn't seem to add any useful changes. Why would they even do this to all their new BIOS'?:

1. Removed Full logo BMP file. Remove "Full screen logo show" item.
2. Removed "soft-off by PWR-BTTN" item & default setting is "instant-of

Perhaps I should try the Pro BIOS rather than the V2? That's all I can find information about on the web. It seems anything past "N" isn't all too great.
