i'm putting 2x2gb Patriot Extreme Performance into a new system I plan on ocing....i was wondering if it would be ok to up to 8gb of ram and if i could put in Mushkin with the Patriot? of if i should just stick with all Patriot if i were going to be making this move?

Try to stick with the same models.
Also, do you use apps that actually will use up that much ram?
If not, save your money and just get 4gigs.

i don't actually see myself using 8gb....mostly thought about it to beat the....well you know....out of my friends pc's

If you don't see yourself utilizing the 8gbs, there's no need wasting money at the moment. By the time you actually find the need for it, the price will most likely be cheaper.

Just stick with 4gb. ^^
