Are there some news about new 4TB/5TB drives? When do they will come out?

I need 2 x 2TB drives at low prices :D

I don't think the manufacturers are in any rush to go bigger than the current 2tb/3tb drives.

It sounds like Samsung plans on releasing a 4tb later this year, personally I'm waiting for the 2 platter 2tb drive, I will pick up a couple when they release.

Fact of the matter remains, your not going to 'pickup' any 4tb drives at a 'low price' until the following generation of drives come out. So your better off with some 1.5tb or 2tb for the 'price' at least for another 18months.

Personally i think we are at a point where we can see the end of life on spinning drives. We've already got 1tb SSD, and while spinning drives will be around for a while, i think SSD will become the mainstream solution.

Obviously SSDs will replace spindle HDD but I don't see it happening in the next 10 years. Production of memory would need to increase significantly to cover the growing demand in so many markets including smart phones and all forms of computers. It will be a good many years before we can get a 4tb SSD for $300.

Why not? The largest drive right now is 3TB and you can find those for low prices sometimes. I bought mine for $106

Disagree with that also. It costs way more to make SSD than hard drives. No sign of any tech that would significantly bring down the price of it or close the cap in any meaningful way. It will likely get bigger even.
