according to the ++++++++ website, it is designed for monitors up to 24 inch....might be able to make it work, especially if the went portrait mode

i would like to do portrait but unfortunately neither the 3007 or 3008 support it. where do you see that it supports up to 24" monitors? EDIT: nvm, i see it now

ok, what about just a single stand that would fit a 25lb 30" in portrait mode? that way i could just get three of those since i could fit 3x 30" in portrait on my desk.

Have you checked there's not enough clearance at maximum height to simply unscrew them from the current stands, and screw them back on in portrait?

Would a wall mount be an option?

The Ergotron MX with a wall mount would let you do the 30" in portrait and still be flexible with the position, but the desk mount won't since it's not tall enough. The 30" requires a lot of vertical height, wall mounting may be more ideal if you can swing it.

@wagoo yeah.. the stock stands don't have enough height on them to be able to do portrait

@Cyberdemon i don't think i can do three wall mounts. although, maybe three ergotron MX's clamped to the desk would work. i was also looking at this stand:

but again i'm not sure if it has enough vertical clearance, although 18.5" seems like it might work.

looks like the stand i posted in the original post is the way to go (100-D16-B03). i called them up and was told that this stand can support 3x 30" in portrait mode, 25lbs max per pivot. i think portrait will be better anyway since 3x 30's in landscape would require too much head turning. like vega's setup: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1588587

got the ++++++++ 100-d16-b03 all setup and it rocks. talk about heavy duty stand..

You are so my hero, that looks amazing. I just got a new job so was thinking about taking the plunge myself. I've been using a three monitor setup (22",30",24") so I know the joy of screen real estate but that's on a whole new level.

If possible post lots of pictures/videos/reviews of how your set up works for you. I remember just a few months ago it seemed like maxishine was the only one that had done much 3x30" gaming videos on you tube.
