FINALLY, (DRUM ROLL). A COMPLETELY FLAWLESS AND ENTIRELY PERFECT DELL 2001FP MONITOR. My 3rd try resulted in complete success, I am now completely and utterly satisfied with this monitor and every aspect of it, excpet for the saturation and hue that sorta bother me  . But overall, and mostly, I am extremely happy :D Sorry for all of my bitching and flaming guys, I just get pissed when I have so much trouble with an 800 dollar product

a cookie with a back door trojan attatched that creates a duplicate port for open hacking?
or chocoloate chip? :D

1) yes, I bought it direct
2) Mine is October, 2003. I think all of the currently shipping ones are dated October, 2003, but don't quote me on that. :D

damn, i'm so tempted on getting one..

I think it'll be better to pay a bit more and get it direct from dell..
but ebay has em for $790 shipped, which isn't bad either...

I just ordered one this weekend from Dell Small Business for $799 with free shipping. I had to pay sales tax from here in California so it came out to $861. I just felt safer ordering it direct from Dell.

rotflmao!

Zeke, you crack me up with your contradictions!

It's a complete success and your completely and utterly satisfied except the saturation and hue sorta bother you and make you

I think you love to hate it and hate to love it.

Oh well, I'm glad your extremely happy with it overall.

If you change your mind, at least you can still return it.:D

My monitor just arrived today. I guess I am lucky, because I have no problems with the backlight and only 1 dead pixel right along the right edge of the monitor that I can only notice when the background is completely black.

Very impressive for the price.

Hey,

3rd time was the charm for me too. First one was Oct, had 1 bright dead pixel near center of monitor and bad white spots upper right. 2nd one was Nov and had 1 dead bright pixel even closer to the center, about 8 dead ones that were dark in the upper left, and a white spot.

Third one - bingo - no dead pixels and on white hot spots.

Thank you Dell.
