I have a Dynex DX-42E250A12. Original mainboard suffers from artifacting after 2 minutes to 2 days of watching movies or playing Xbox360 games. Bought a new/refurbished mainboard from "The Parts-Store" (Bestbuy distro for new/refurbed parts for their stuff). Installed new mainboard and turned on the tv with the remote and everything working great.. watched movies and played games for hours on end .. turned the tv off and next morning ..tv wouldn't turn back on.
Returned the mainboard and got another one .. same thing .. just played some games for a couple hours... turned the tv off and it wont' turn back on.. put old mainboard in and it turns on and off no problems ..put new mainboard back in and it wont turn on ..
Returned the mainboard and got another one as well as another power board off of ebay pulled from a working same model tv that had a cracked screen...
Put both parts in and tv turns on and works perfect .. watched "Planes" with my wife and daughter .. played some 360 games .. turned tv off and it won't turn back on..
..each time I can throw my old mainboard back in and it will turn back on just fine and work until however long until the video craps out of which causes the tv to reboot .. put the new mainboards in and it wont turn on with remote or touching the power button. The red led power light comes on .. but doesn't blink or anything when trying to turn on with "new" mainboards.
All the caps look flat where there are caps located .. everything "looks" good.. I don't understand how all 3 refurbished mainboards could have the same exact problem ..
I suppose I could get a 4th mainboard and battery back up and then never turn the tv off..
