3DMark2k3 problem

For some reason i've been having a weird problems in 3dmark2k3 with my comp, even my buddies too. I have a P4 2.4C@3.0Ghz, 1gb XMS PC3200, 9700Pro @ 351/335 and i get like 2200 in 3dmark2k3. My buddy has same setup as me but a 9800pro and he gets 2235. Whats the problem? I cant figure it out, because all my games run so smooth. any one have a clue? Thanks
 
you guys should be getting ~5k in 2k3
make sure you have AA/AF turned OFF before you run the test... i always forget and my score drops waaaay down
if thats not it, i have no clue :confused:
 
nah thats not it. i know we should be getting way higher. I made sure AA/AF was off. I even made sure there was no v-sync. I just dont get it. Its rather annoying because id love to compare to other people.
