Right click that link and SAVE AS. Don't try to view it, nothing will be pulled. Thats from DemoCoder over at Beyond3D, he attended the NVIDIA launch event. No details as to what config ran that other than a 3.4GHz P4. Not known if it was an ultra or not either.

Thread where its unfolding:

Already exceeded. I managed to save it. Anywhere I can upload it? My Cox.net website will exceed transfer fast. The result is 14,860 btw.

yeah im reading same stuff, too bad his link is already down due to bandwidth lol. ill host the pic if you have it saved evil.

That result only means one of two things.

The unsubstantiated "Hardocp review" is of a non ultra, or 3dmark03 is completely worthless, not just partially. 14k is INSANE. No driver cheating is going to net that.

lol, I put it there after I saw his post! I think it's a broadband user. He'll love that.

Here...I'll make it easier for you all:)

Or, more likely, all this is BS!
Just like the 80% performance gains across the board and 12k 3dMark scores.

It just love how everyone is jerking off over every little scrap that falls out of someone's ass. Wait for some actual reviews before you get all hot and bothered.

Holy shizzle. Look closely at the 3dmark shot.....where it states system specs, it clearly says only "6800". 14k on a non ultra? What is the Ultra then? :eek: :eek:

Maybe Kyle and Brent put up fake benches on purpose because they knew spy's would be looking. ;)

The leaked [H] numbers just don't seem to go correctly with the high 3dmarks Nvidia is toting.

Many things don't see to go correctly with what NVidia is toting.

could care less about 3dmark but that unreal engine 3 tech demo pic.. woah

Well, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. There's no cheat that could net that huge of a gain. Either NV40 kicks extreme ASS and the benches here leaked are fake to put us off, or Nvidia is pulling the greatest lie in history.

Out of curiosity, what does 3dmark03 say for 5900 cards? Does it specifically say 5900 ultra when a 5900 ultra is used?

*edit*: WOW, in the 5 seconds I type my post, 4 other people have posted. Talk about a hot thread.

Good question! Somebody?

Edit - Btw, I'm thinking maybe now that the 14k is the Ultra and the rumored 12k (Inqwell, others etc) is for the non Ultra.

Nv30 = present

Yeah, all the BS rumors and gifs at Finnish websites. There is no way NVIDIA will fumble twice in a row, no way. Especially repeating the NV30 debacle precisely. You really think NVIDIA is a hack shop running out of someones garage Killdozer? A bunch of guys with 100 IQ's?

I had a 5950 Ultra and it said Ultra. My GF2 Ultra said Ultra, and my TNT2 Ultra said Ultra when I had those cards.

Who cares if it puts out 15,000,000 3DMarks... Didn't the community determine a long time ago that 3DMark is no longer reliable?

I know I want to see these cards play a damn game. Screw 3DMark.

Perhaps the naming isn't down quite right yet?

I mean, consider:
* This is the launch party for an entire generation of cards. Would nVidia do ANYTHING but put their 'best and brightest' up?!
* A score of nearly 15k on a 12-pipe core running at best 400mhz (the Ultra is 400, we don't know what the NU runs at - surely lower)!? Clearly impossible!
* These would be 'pre-release' drivers at best.

Dunno, I'd put money on those being 'Ultra' scores.

Where does 3dmark "get" the graphics card name? The latest dets have:

NVIDIA_NV40.DEV_0040.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra"
NVIDIA_NV40.DEV_0041.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800"

So if it pulls from the driver you'll get the "Ultra". Also, "Ultra" is such a favorite branding for NVIDIA, you'd think it would be smeared all over the place, especially on 3dmark results.

Silly n00b, don't you know anything?

nVidia is winning! That means 3dMark is reliable again!

DUH! :rolleyes:

:D :D :D

ghey, I'd feel like a fag putting that thing on the counter. It looks like a big pr0n box.

It looks like a blow-up doll package.

The 15000k score can't possibly be for the non-pro.

I would just love to see the design meetings for video card boxes. The most random things imaginable are put on those boxes.

btw guys, if you notice the 3dmark03 image...it shows
3.4ghz @
(like its overclocked)

just for you guys who want to make a case. this image is of a 2.4ghz cpu not overclocked.

Image3.jpg

so im pretty sure that 14k score isnt a oc'ed cpu.

Why would nvidia show off the scores of their 2nd best card? (Even though it is damn impressive, you know how marketing goes.)
