3dmark06 score halfs when oc`ing?

when running my e6600 at 333x9 i get 10400 in 06 with my 8800GTS but when i have it at 400x8 my score drops down to 4000?

my motherboard is a asus p5b deluxe,any ideas as to why its doing this?

Yes. Set your PCIe frequency to a number between 100 and 103.

The PCIe bus is reverting to 1x because of an odd OC setting.

This is normal for these boards. I run at 102mhz.

it was previously set at 101 and someone on another board suggested i set it at 110 which i did and it fixed the problem.

is 110 ok?

It should be fine for most things. It's the maximum safe limit I'd go to.

Try 105 or something.
