hey i have the registered version of 3dmark05, my specs are in my sig...my score came up as 4293 and it seems somewhat low... BFG 6800GT (400/1100) and A64 3000+ 754 (2.5ghz)... anybody have any personal settings that helped them obtain a higher score... does AF and AA affect the score? also i am using the drivers that came with the card which i believe are the 66.93 drivers .. so if anyone can suggest a score upper or an explanation to why my score is lower than i think it should be please let me know.. thanks

Try some beta drivers. The 71.20's are suppose to be great. Just google for "71.20" and you will find them.

I will not guarantee you anything but back when I got my card it didn't make it over 4,000 until I upgraded the drivers, then my score increased by about 1,000 points!

Yes, seems low. AA/AF affect score considerably. Most people run at default IQ settings so numbers are comparable. Funny when you see high scores published at 800x600 though.

I'm on a 3400+/6800 Ultra on the 66.93 drivers and think I've had it up to 5600 or so when testing at 440/1200. Yours still sounds a touch low.

Mine was at the standard settings you get from the free sample of 3DMark05, by the way.

so do you reccomend i put the AF and AA on application controlled? also, would upgrading to the 71.20's make any difference?

Application controlled, and then no AA/AF in 3Dmark05. You can turn them on if you want to see how pretty the scenes are, but if you want to compare numbers with the world you'll always be scoring low with AA/AF on.
