3dmark05 score 4745?

Did you use driver cleaner before you installed your latest driver?. Sometimes if you don't you get a drop in performance like that.

Something is up with your set up because my Athlon XP3200+ and 6800GT combo is getting me 5323.

I get 4079 with my 6600GT. That's got to be a very low score for an X850XT PE.

I got 5700 with a older and slower cpu, and just 512 MB of ram....something is wrong.

Must be a driver issue....either that or you're running a gazillion programs in the background.

Manny

id say thats a bit slow. my x800pro at 499/499 hit 5291 if i remember right.

i get 5000 3dmark05 score with

P4 2.4ghz oc'd to 2.8 non HT
BFG 6800 GT oc 400/1100
1.2 gigs ram pc2100
Abit Ic7-G max II

As others have said:
Install the newest chipset drivers.
Download drivercleaner and clean ATI and NVIDIDA drivers off of the computer. To be safe uninstall the current drivers, restart the computer in safe mode, run drivercleaner on both nvidia and ati, then restart.
Get the Catalyst 5.8's and install them.

After that if the score has not improved it could be a heat problem where the card is throttling itself. Check temperatures while the card is testing using something like ati tray tools (highly recommend these anyway).

could this be a psu problem, not enough power? i have the syhawk 620, watts, psu.

A PSU doesn't normally cause low benchmarks, it can cause instability.

Maybe your CPU is throttling, have you checked your temps ??

Also, did you try installing the chipset drivers, yet? I think thats the #1 culprit for low CPU scores. Followed by #2 overheated / throttling CPU.

even my old evga geforce 6800 ultra pcie, scores lower than your 6800 gt!!???? are you guys playing with me?

everybody heheh.

i did reinstall windows, did a complete reformat than windows than sp2 than inf file, than graphic card driver, and i got the same score! that sucks. :(

Your problem was that you had not installed chipset drivers.

Then when you did install them.... you did after video drivers. (improper driver installation)

Removing videodriver and reinstalling after you had installed the motherboard chipset driver is probably what fixed your problem.
(proper order, chipset, then video)

Here's a slightly higher score for you to aim for :)

It looks like the only differences between our systems are the 3.6 Processor ive got, the 2gb of ram youve got, and the fact that your cards a Connect 3D and mines an ATI original. Interesting results...

Go on you can squeeze another 150 points out of it ;)
