Was trying 3dmark2k5 on my new system ( 3500+ A64 Winchester not oc'd yet. MSI Neo4 platinum. Sapphire x850 XT. Scored 5866 3DMarks. What do you think? Low for the card? ok? whaaaat.

That seems good I have a Fx 55 with a 6800ultra and i only get 5225 =(

Perhaps OCing the Winnie will help raise your score. My A64 3200+ at 2.5 ghz and X800XTmildly overclocked @ 520/520 scores 5887 in 3dmark 2005

That card is 520/540 correct? That's probably abought right, mine at stock speeds (520/560) scores just a touch above yours.

My rig all stock (with my XT PE) got 5930, at 2.7ghz and stock clocks on the card got 6115. You should pull slightly more with the higher speed of the 3500+. I'd say you're a little low. About 100 ponts or so.

Nvidia Cards and ATI cards make that much of a diff in 3dmark 05 huh? =( :(

Congrats OrAnGe on the first X850 XT score I have seen in the forums.

The average X800 XT-PE score is 6,195. So your score could improve a little me thinks.
The average X800 XT score is 5,703. So the 850 XT does have some advantage over the X800 XT.

If you have further improvements to your score please post them here.

The current list is in post 849. I will be updating the list again sometime in the next three days I think (depending on how many new scores I get).

Your score is good enough for 80th place out of 479 scores right now.

uhhh, is my computer severly handicapped or something.. =X

Now are these people running max settings in their driver sets? Except AA / AF. Cause I am. They aren't fucking with their scores by lowering everything to ass are they.

Set everything to "application preference" and run 3dmark05 at default everything (free version wont let you change anything anyway).

I scored 6007 with no AA/AF on and max settings
x800xt w/ ATI Silencer 4 @ 520/560
Athlon 64 3200+ @ 2.53 ghz
Kingston HyperX PC4000

Now I need to get off my lazy ass and voltmod, my card is maxing out at 540/560 :(

sounds about right for a x850xt no pe. with my x800xt i get about 5600 marks at stock speeds.

Are you really getting 5600 now?

The score I have for you is 5,507. Have you got a better score now? Please let me know. :D

Lol considering he is running around +100 core/+110( x 2), is it surprising he is turning in numbers very close to GT/Ultra status? I mean 412/930, I since the bench is still run at 1024, the 256VRAM isn't so much of a factor either.

Dude stop showing off ;)

I always thought ATI cards did better in 3dMark05?

yah ill do it here in a few minutes. i think it got a little better do to driver changes. i think i ended up getting 5605 at my highest. but ill try again and see what i get

What are your idle temps with your X850's? Just curioous, mine is 39c. Load gets up to 62c running ATitool, and using it to see the temps. Sapphire X850XT/PE here, with stock clocks, and stock cooling.

edit, up to 68c using rthdribl for 15 mins.

How are the noise levels on those? Coming from a 9800 w/ VGA Silencer, the supposedly "quiet" Leadtek 6800 is a vacuum. mid-30's dba, while not much to most of you nVidia users, is a ton to me. It is LOUDER than my Panaflo H1A, and that says alot.

The card seems pretty quiet. I can't hear it over my system. At startup when it spins up for about 3 seconds It is loud but it never spins that fast otherwise. I'll have to check out the temps. I clocked the card up to suppose'd default x850 XT clock speeds up from the gimped sapphire clock. 520/540 Sapphire 520/560 default XT. I'll have to check out the temp. What do you use to check your VGA temp?

Oh, and do you guys disable Catalyst AI? I disable it cause it made everything look blurry and run like shit on my 9700. I remember reading about it and not liking it from the start.

I have Catalyst AI on Low for my X800XT and I see a small performance gain of about 1 to 3 FPS.It Didnt affect visual quality at all on my card.

I just played some CS Source for about 30 mintues +. Wen tto ATItool and it says 41c .Thats with a room temp of lemme see. 71.6 fahrenheit My case has a 120 up front and 120 on the back. Power Supply has a 90 on the bottom and 80 on back. CPU has a 92mm. So its cool air inside to go to the vid card .
Prob is ... the MSI Neo4's chipset and fan is RIGHT there by the vid card intake... retarded... totaly retarded. owell.

Run rthdrib and watch your temps at the same time. Exiting a game doesnt show your temps, as they drop too fast. Unless you have it set to where you can see the high/low/average temps.

Ran it and watched temps. 45 c underload.

Ok stop your heart attack. I'm playin with ya. 69c after about 15 mins with that. I can feel it belching out that hot air like a mother fucker. That was at 530/560 though.
