3DMark saved test files - reason?

This is a stupid question but I can't find the answer, even trying Google.

When you run 3DMark 05 or 06 (don't remember 03), finish the test, and get your score - you can then upload it to Orb, export to Excel, or save the the results to a file.

If you save the file, what's the point? You can't reopen it with 3DMark and cannot read it from, say, Notepad...so is there a purpose that I can't find?

I use that feature all the time. My bench setup isn't connected to the internet and does not have any nic drivers installed or enabled. I save my bench files and burn them to cd then upload them to the orb on my main pc.
 
Ah, that sounds like a good reason and applicable.

I guess I was just ranting because I wish you *could* reopen the file with 3DMark to see what score you got at a later time, in case you forgot to write it down.
