scores shouldnt count unless you run ALL tests.

You cant run all the tests unless you pay for it - and im not paying for a glorified demo.

most people believe the only tests that reflect how real game performance is by only running the game benchmarks, hence the reason ppl pressed Esc when CPU tests loaded in 3dmark03.

free version doesn't include the other tests, so that is all the tests.

Shit maybe I shouldnt bother downloading it! SO its only 3 game tests and 2 CPU tests for the free version? bastards... they really want you to OWND the game, instead of just use the free version. bastards

That sux. Is the default still 1024x768x32, or did they move that up.

Everyone needs to agree on a standard the benchmark will be run at. Otherwise, the scores don't mean anything if everyone runs it different.
What happens when you run it in Default mode? That should be the standard.

what engine is that based on? pretty neat, tho not really blowing my socks off...

Unless you buy the pro version, you cant change a thing in 3d05. You can of course change things in the control panel of your graphics card, but id imagine most are running with AA/AF off and best performance settings.

Wow they already are starting with the driver OPT's , and the thing just came out today .
No wonder [H] could care less about it.
They didn't even advertize the lauch in their news listing. (Not professional IMO)
Now they want you to pay 20$ for the other half of the pretty demo?
LOL
Sure lets all pay 20 bucks to feel depressed about how our system performs , and then spend another 500 on faster parts to feel less impotent.
Marketing is evil , and should be ilegal.

Okay, looking at the 3Dvelocity review of 3Dm05, the ATI cards are getting a 1400 point(27%) increase with a set of new "beta" drivers. Yet their scores actually drop in 3Dm03 with the beta drivers....gee that's not screwy or anything. Way to go futuremark, you've succeeded in releasing yet another useless benchmark  .

I got about 1900 on my work machine which has 9500 Pro (modded to 9700 pro speeds), 512 megs ram, and Athlon TB at 2159 mhz. 4.9 drviers.

man, just looking at techreports results, 10 FPS sec (in some tests) on my GT is what I can expect....and thought I had a king ding a ling of a video card.....

Hmmm.

The rush is on!! Servers are all busy, slowed to a crawl,,,,with all us nuts trying to download. Overclocker's start your engines!!!

2.500 on my stock 9800pro and 2500+ @3200+ with 1 GB of DDR 400

I could care less

Well the bug that apparently hindered X800XT performance was a bug that affected AGP cards that had 256MB of memory. The X800XT PCIe already scored 5800 prior to the new driver. The new driver won't improve performance in 3Dmark 03 because 3Dmark 03 was designed for cards with 128MB of memory.

They did not? it also increase the x800xt pcie scores too. from below 4400 to past 5700

And why are these drivers hurting 03 scores and all other games aswell?

Thier bug theory about the agp only bus doesn't hold :D

So Doom3 and CS:S benches will go up 20%+ too then?
