I'm into trying to make my own games. I know 3d maya enables you to make 3d worlds and model. So I want to know, where i have to buy it

Single user license of Maya 7 Complete is $2000 USD.

There is a free version for personal, non-business/commercial usage, the Personal Learning edition which includes basically everything in Maya 7 complete. However, all images produced with it are watermarked, and it uses a special non-commercial file type.

There is also a powerful freeware 3D modeling program called Blender3D out there.

For C++, all you need is a compiler, and you write the programs and then compile them into executables (or libraries or shared objects or such).

For Windows, I'd recommend one of two - MinGW, the GCC port for Windows, and Visual C++ 2005. Both can be acquired free of charge (and MSFT allows anyone to download VC++ 2005 with the VC++ express IDE for free). I use GCC 3.4.x currently, in addition to VC++ 2005 (8.0). At work, I'm stuck using VC++ 6.0 (which isn't working well for me at the moment  ).

For other platforms, i.e. Linux or the *BSDs, I'd go with GCC.

If you are getting started, then use Free Software to do everthing. In fact, develop on linux. Use the GNU toolchain for building c/c++, and use blender for 3d modeling.
