Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
i got a 3d mark score of 4349 from my crap 9200se.
could you guys suggest a way of increasing the score (don't say me to buy a new card)
by overclocking or some method
I think I've noticed, that no matter what, you always get lower 3dmarks on your system than you think you should. I had the best comp 3 years ago, ran 3dmark2001 with hopes for like... 10k, but then I got like 6k. For some damn reason, even a CPU upgrade didn't help. Well, away with this system, one more month and a watercooled x800 xt is gonna change all that!
Oh, on upping your score, look into modding your card to, say, a 9500... I donno if it's possible, but it's something that would give you an advantage, and coupled with overclocking, a pretty hefty advantage.
Also, squeeze some more juice out of your CPU, that would help everything, not just 3dmark.
Modding your card means Flashing, or replacing the BIOS on it, which is the basic identification and running information on the card. It tells the computer that it is a Radeon 9200, tells the card to run at specific chip and memory speeds, etc. If your card is physically identical to a higher card, such as the 9500, it is possible to flash your bios to a 9500 bios, changing it from a 9200 to a 9500. This has risks, of course, as in, if your comp turns off while flashing, your card is gone. + it voids your waranty.
Also, try different utilities to overclock the card, e.g. RivaTuner. Give some more core and memory mhz, test out on 3dmark, and make sure you have no stability or artifacting (weird things appearing in 3d apps where they shouldn't) issues going on.
Overclocking your CPU is done through the BIOS of your computer, usually accessed by pressing Delete or F8 before windows starts booting up to enter bios settings. If you have a brand name computer, such as Dell or Sony, you may not be able to overclock your computer... however, if you custom-made it, your chances are good. You can look into all kinds of guides on how to overclock, but it usually goes in this order: increasing the FSB (front side bus, or the whole informational highway on the motherboard) by a few mhz, then upping the multiplier, but your P4 does not have that option. Lastly, you can adjust voltages to give a bit more power to the chip. Keep in mind, this is just a glance... I suggest you read up on overclocking before you try. Realize, you need to test stability after every adjustment Also, if you are doing overclocking to anything but a very minimum extent, you need better cooling. Otherwise, severe instability can occur, and if you just hit everything to the max, there's always a chance you will fry your CPU.
Again, look on guides for your motherboad/processor on how to overclock it decently.
First it should be noticed you aint gonna be able to mod that 9200se to anything About the only thing you can do to that card to get a LITTLE extra pep is to download either RAGE3D TWEAKER or Powerstrip.
And just slowly up the core and mem speeds as much as you can without it becoming unstable?
ah, thank you, I wasn't sure, since I'm not in ATi at the moment.. but in a month, I will be drowning in all that x800xt glory! I thought 9200's were flashable to something... maybe not the SE's though... damn economist buyers!
when i try to increase the core speed using rage3d it's not even increasin my 9200se' s speed why the hell does it happens like that do u thin it;s some kind of locked or something
Actually now i remember i think the 9200SE's core was clocklocked?its honestly not much of a loss if it is because at the most all you would've stood to gain was maybe 200 to 300 extra 3DMark points As the 9200SE is a 64bit card and just really wasnt ment to be a gaming card at all.
You might wanna head on over to rage3d.com and ask a few of the guys over there as to any mods that are possably hangin around to overclock that card?
But its seriously not worth all the effort
