3D Graffiti

wow, looks pretty nice

The world famous graffity sprayer DAIM stand in the middle of three cameras wich are recording the position and the movement of his virtual spray can.
The data is displayed via DAIMs videoglasses as a floating 3D grafitty in the room. DAIM can choose the colour, stroke width and textures freely with the controller.

lol. That's cool. looks like it could be fun too! However, I don't really understand any practical applications other than art.

Oh wow, that is very cool. Kind of makes me want a Dreamscene background of it.

Virtual reality... the cameras sense his position and give him an image based on it... seems to me like you could easily apply that to a VR system.

Would be nice if these Graffiti artists would keep their damned rattle can paint away from my garage.

Think if I put a Wagner power sprayer beside my garage, they would paint it for me?

LOL!!!

I actually had a discussion with Mark Ecko a couple years ago (when he was making / marketing Getting Up) about the same thing. The problem people have with taggers is the cost to taxpayers...this solves that problem right there! w00t!

messed around with something exactly like this back in high school at a computer lab in Caltech. i thought it was pretty cool stuff, and imagined it to be used for some awesome modern art (or in this case, a spinoff of urban art). They were using it for computer based protein modeling or something, but in "freehand" mode, it was exactly like this.
