I just have a quick question to all with triple screen setups, what type of video card configuration do you use? Can you put something like two 7800's (not in SLI), and have one drive the first two while the other drives the third?

Simply put, can you get 3D acceleration across all 3 of your screens?

Well, we have one PC setup with two 7800 GTs and each card drives one monitor. Before we had the second 7800, one card drove both monitors and ran two instances of WoW at the same time with no problem. Now he switches between SLI mode for single games on one monitor, and then back to non SLI mode for WoW and four instances. So I can't see why one card still wouldn't be able to drive two monitors while the second card drives a third.

Simplest way for most games would be to use matrox tripplehead2go driving 3 monitors from 1 vga output

With the the Asrock dual motherboard you can run an AGP 8x card simultaneously with a PCI-e card. That is 4 monitors (not an SLI 2 monitors), and the 7800 comes in an AGP card.

The only problem with that is if you try it for everyday desktop usage, you find that Windows has no idea where one screen ends and the next begins.

Just try maximizing a window; it will stretch across all three screens instead of just filling one...not good.

I have an SLI motherboard, no worries about pluging in a second card :D
