I have a 3COM OfficeConnect (Internet/Firewall/DMZ).
It's running the latest firmware (OCIF_516.BIN).
When I plug both the LAN and the WAN interfaces in, it goes mad. WAN transmits wildly whilst LAN receives. It kills the firewall and it is totally useless until I physically remove the WAN interface; the traffic dies immediately and then I can call up the admin panel via my browser.
I've reset the router totally, uploaded a new, clean firmware and started to rebuild the config but every time I insert the WAN rj45... it goes mad.
Google has not been forthcoming
