Hi guys-

Spent the weekend tweaking stuff on my rig. I had a question about the voltage on these chips...what is the stock voltage, anyways? My Asus board is running it defaulted at 1.345V, even at "stock" of 3.9GHz, and I'm wondering if that's a bit high. (The board is configured to run all cores at the turbo speed, but I can turn that off if needed)

I seemed to recall that 1.2V is normal; Intel's site just gives a range ending at 1.35V.

Thanks!

Like most other Intel chips there may not be such a thing. I mean for a long time Intel has used a voltage range set in the binning process. For the same exact product # depending on the luck of the draw you could get a chip that had a factory set default voltage close to the bottom of the range or one that ran at the top of the range at stock. If I remember correctly my Q9550 C0 idles at 1.03V while at stock it runs at 1.12V while others had chips that ran at 1.25V or more stock.
