ok so i have a 3930k and the cores temps betwen cores are over 10c apart on 3 of teh cores under load. core 0 is 50c core 1 is 42 core 2 is 38c core 3 is 37c core 4 is 49c and core 5 is 49 c. is this the way intell chips are? or could i have a bad mount on my wb? and do the lga 2011 cpus run hot or could i just have a shity mount this is stock v at 4ghz water temp 65f block ek hf

are the temps that far apart under load? or are they that far apart when the cpu is idle? if it is under load i would reseat the cooler, it wont hurt. i think (dont have one) the 2011 cpu run hot.

ok i reseated my water block and same thing at idle
c0 25
c1 21
c2 20
c3 21
c4 30
c5 30

load temps
c0 62
c1 56
c2 51
c3 49
c4 64
c5 63

at 4.5ghz do my temps seam really shity? im only at 1.27v core

Temperature variations between cores are normal and can be caused by a number of factors. Your temperatures are all well within safe limits, so there's no need for you to worry.

ok so now i have my chip at 4.9 ghz at 1.39v at sub 70 load after redoing my water cooling system. whats a safe 24/7 v core?

I don't like to go over really anything like 1.42v on my SB chips (I have both SB-E and normal) but I've seen people go higher with no problems, I just wouldn't recommend it.

To be honest?
Safe? Safe is DIRECTLY related to temps. If you were at -127C, for instance, then 1.6v or even 1.7v is safe.
But for your setup, I would say to keep the vcore under 1.4v for 24/7 unless you can keep the CPU temps under 70C load. This is only because you directly requested a safe voltage. While you can go above 1.4v, you really have to watch the temps. 1.42v isn't too shabby for a hex core at 4.9 ghz. And <70C? Very nice.

And yeah your temps were pretty bad at 4.5 ghz. Glad to see you improved them considerably; you were able to RAISE the vcore and clock speed after redoing the mount, while keeping the temps down...

it wasn't the mount it was my wb was some how trapping all the litle air bubbles making a big bubble that would kill my flow to a trickle. and i can hit 5.1ghz whit ht off but only 4.9 whit ht on, are there any other settings other then vcore that helps whit stabilizing whit ht on?
