I just stated folding whit my new rig and in the last 2 days I only have 28k points. Shouldn't I get more ppd out of this rig at 4.8? I set up the pass key and every thing

Im not up to date on smp ppd but if you are running -bigadv you should be much higher. Keep in mind if you are new to folding you need to crunch 10 smp units with your current username/passkey before you get any -bigadv work units.

Your first 10 with the pass key only got base points, so 500 or so for each WU. After that, the point value goes up.

Based on with win7 you're running, I would suggest getting that hex core a x64 client to work on. Your 10 units to qualify for bonuses are already done, so keep that passkey safe. Follow our guides to install a linux Virtual Machine, or just shift the machine over to Linux all together. Just shifting to that client, you'll get more thread efficiency (even under a VM) and you'll get the really big WUs that will take your Hex days to complete but be worth over a quarter million points. My older hex gets 70,000 PPD on these WU using a linux VM and pushing 2 GPU clients.

Ok well I ran overnight and it indicates 33,600 on a 6985 wu. Looks like it's taking ~3hr15min to do a work unit on avg.

That's about 1.95 minutes per frame, sounds about right. I run mine at 4.8ghz and it's about my WU history shows as low as 1:28 per frame on average for 6985.

Remember that stock is 3.2ghz, it doesn't turbo all cores to 3.8 when all threads are loaded while folding. (4.8/3.2)*1.28=1.92
