3870 X2 3DMark06 result!!!!!

At first, I was like... so what, my 8800 GTS 640 runs higher than that on stock settings.

Then I saw what resolution they were running it at. Yikes.

If that comes in sub $300 it's gonna be hard to get a hold of one.

Wonder what it will score at 1280X1024?

Real world guys.. real world. Lets wait for some real benchmarks before getting our hopes up.

Yeah - I firsts looked and thought - "Hmmm, not bad, but must be better..." then I saw the resolution! :D

True - however it is an impressive score anyway you look at it. :)

this has been posted for the last 3 days:)

Hence the 2nd post... I did had glance for any 3870 X2 bench threads... but I did not look quite long and well enough

Should score about the same as a 3870 crossfire setup. So that would be around what 18,000?

ok, how many people here play 3dmark?

People often bring that point up, but seeing as this is an enthusiast site and has a thread on 3d mark scores its relevant to those people at least. Obviously it can't be played but its suprising how many people get steered towards a product just because of peenmark.

Hmmm... 10k at 2560x1600? Well, there is 4 million pixels with 2560x1600 and about 1.3 million with 1280x1024, 18k would seem entirely possible.

I read somewhere MSRP was gonna be right around $400 USD, a good deal cheaper than 2 3870s but not 2 for the price of 1. It would still be a good buy even at this price point.

well you have 1 pcb vs 2, 1 cooler/fan vs 2, 2 dvi ports/ramdacs vs 4 so It should come out cheaper
