3870 "failed to find any installable components"

I am just tired of this, I had the card for a little wile and it crapped out on me, so I got it RMAed. The replacement just came in the mail, I opened up the box thinking I would be back up and running....Nope. I installed the card into my pc and booted her up, no "found new hardware" pop up or anything (Vista32) and so I try installing the new drivers, and I get the "failed to find any installable components". Link here to my first post about the trouble I was having with the card. Any ideas on this one?

No other PCI-E slot (cheap ass MB), and no other computer to try it in.

try another PSU, perhaps, that's basically all i can think of.

make sure all previous drivers are removed

Have you looked in BIOS to confirm Video Adapter is set to PCI-E instead of PCI?
Only guessing sorry if you've already checked.

To see if its a software issue, grab another hard drive and install Windows on it.
See if it picks the card up properly.

If not , the card, mobo or PSU are likely to be at fault.
If yes, you know it can be fixed.

Could be the card isn't seated properly, I remember my old 6600gt did that when it wasn't in the slot properly.

Thanks for the help, but I had tried all of the above.

I did however get it working. I took the card back out and removed all the drivers, even removed everything in the reg. I then did a windows repair, installed the card, set BIOS back to PCI-E and the drivers loaded fine.
