I recently purchased a Manchester dual core 3800x2. My idle temps are around 38-40 and load temps are 45-48c. This is the case whether the chip is at stock 2.0 or at 2.5 with no vcore increase. I know the fan is seated well and the thermal paste is applied correctly. The board/cpu are in a cooler master cavalier case with several fans running. These temps seem to be a little higher than other people are reporting... Any suggestions??

Anywhere under 50-60c is good, you've probably got some headroom to go up a little bit too if you wanted, I'd say.

what HSF if it is stock w/o heatpipes then your temps are a little high...

get a sythe ninja or thermalright XP-120 or something

He's got a load temp of under 50C, he doesn't need an aftermarket HSF.

Only if you're looking to push the processor farther would I look into getting a new HSF.
