I've been waiting since the 39" seiki first came out for a 4K@60hz 4:4:4 tv to replace my 27" QNIX 2710 + 24" ASUS VG236h setup. Now that all these 27-34" curved monitors and 50"+ curved tv's are coming out, I think I'm going to keep waiting and hopefully someone will come out with a tv/monitor in the 37-40" range. I used a 37" 1080p screen as my primary monitor for almost 3 years and I think it was pretty damn near perfect in terms of size. Does anyone know of anything on the horizon that's between 37-42" and curved? Am I the only person who wants a monitor like that?

I was waiting also, and the time finally arrived, so I just ordered Philips BDM4065UC.. It has everything but the curve, which I see no point in waiting another year or two years just for the sake of a slight curve.. This monitor is puurfect.. 39.5 inch and 4k..

Because otherwise you can wait forever.. There's always the next step in technology..OLED anyone?

This one will serve me for ~5 years, and then I'll grab a similarly sized 4k (or maybe 8k?), but perhaps curved, OLED and ~144Hz.

Do you think it will be a year or two before something like that comes out? I've been looking at the Phillips since the thread was first created but it seems like there are a lot of people having problems with it.

Can you be more specific about the problems???

Regarding curved 4K, it looks unlikely such beast comes in 2015. But 2016 looks realistic. This has to do with the market pressure: 4K is still rare and there is no need for a differentiating factor like curved. But in 2016 4K will be in the mainstream and then curved will be aiming for the top.

Looks like Samsung will be coming out with some options for 40+ inch curved display. However we still need to know if these will be able to output 4:4:4 at 60hz and also some input lag numbers. Does look promising though...

That samsung looks promising. Fingers crossed. I also saw a thread about a new LG that looks like it could be nice.
