Hey guys, im not sure if this is the right section to post this in so if its not just let me know. Im having trouble getting my 360 to show "open" nat status. Its currently showing moderate.

I use a asus p5w dh deluxe mobo and have my 360 plugged into the 2nd ethernet slot in it. My nat shows its open when I go directly to the router and test the xbox live connection, so Im pretty sure im missing a setting or 2 on my mobo. Im not running any firewalls on the PC and the router page shows the 360 as its own IP. we have the router for our house in the closet of the master bedroom and they wired ethernet jacks to all the rooms where computers are used. Problem is that in my room I need access on my PC and 360 at the same time, wireless on the xbox is kinda out of the question because of the lag I already get with wired connection when im not hosting :/

I tried setting the Xbox as a static IP address and forwarding ports to it with this guide, http://forums.xbox.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=9868496 I use a linksys WRT54GS v6 with the newest firmware and Its not passing the IP address test in dashboard when i manually set it. I tried setting it within dchp range and outside it, made sure it was under 254, Here are the settigns i tried

IP: 192.168.1.200
192.168.0.200
192.168.1.149
192.168.0.149

subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

gateway: 192.168.1.1

my routers dhcp range is 100-149, UPnP is enabled. so based on what ive read so far one of these should work but all still fail the ip test. Works like a charm when i go back to automatic but the NAT goes to moderate right away.

Is there a program or section of windows that would allow me to tweak the shared connection settings so it can display as open nat? Thanks in advance

p.s. the connection works great when I use my 2nd pc on it and it does function right now on the 360, its just that with moderate nat I cant host gears of war games anymore and I cant find many games with good latency.

EDIT. Using 192.168.0.200 IP with 192.168.0.1 gateway lets me pass the connection tests but on the linksys page all the port forwarding has 192.168.1.blank so Is it just that you cant forward ports to a shared connection like this with the linksys I have?
