360+ IPS

Ok I have a few questions.


Would an IPS panel be my best bet if I wanted to use a wide screen monitor for my 360 and if yes then what is a good ips panel for under 500 usd? the bigger the better


Edit: component inputs would be great too.

No reason to pay the IPS premium if you're looking for an xbox monitor. PVA or even TN should be fine. But for $500 you'll not be able to go above 22".

If xbox will be the primary use, you're better off just buying a 30" or 32" HDTV instead.

NEC 20WMGX2 is pretty close to your price and has S-IPS along with component inputs.

I was interested and debating wether or not to get a 27 inch hdtv but I do want to use whatever I get as a pc monitor also with the 360 being the main use. I'd end up watching a lot of movies/anime with it too. I've never had an lcd befor and i'm even wondering if TN is as bad as some people make it seem. If I could get away with spending only 350 or so then I could also upgrade my video card to go with the new monitor since my current card is only a 9800SE ati
