Looks good, but 7 mins of prime doesn't really count for much in my book.
Your temps are fine. The "Distance to TJ Max" is always accurate, and that's all you need to care about. If you can have that be >5-10 or so at all times, then you are fine.
Looks golden to me.
Is it delided?
Looking good. Your TIM might have been one of those that takes a bit of time to cure, so that would explain your temps lowering after a while.
Some have no curing time, others have a several hour curing time, and yet others can take weeks. It varies, and it also cures faster under higher temps.
4.8 on 212 EVO at what room temp, zero'C?
I have a similar setup as you, I would suggest trying IntelBurn on Maximum settings http://www.majorgeeks.com/IntelBurnTest_d5987.html Prime95 had my temps in the low 70's at 4.7ghz but with intelburn it got it up to 86C. I was able to run prime95 all night without a crash, this made it crash in 10 min till I got my settings right.
I am satisfied with the results I got from using Prime. All these stress tests are going to push the CPU past what I will be doing with my PC. If I start seeing any crashes playing some games etc, I will tweak some more. I did see a temp of 82 yesterday after running Prime for almost an hour and a half, still well below what would damage the CPU.
Very true, I was thinking of staying at 4.8 myself as it never crashed in anything I do but only tests. With the possibility of that rare crash I didn't want to risk it IE) gaming in starcraft, I can spend 30 min multiplayer, if you crash you can't get back in!
We picked one hell of a great setup, IMHO best bang for the buck with the HSF, Mobo, IPS monitor and CPU
Hi guys I've had this chip since Feb 1st I overclocked it straight to 4.4 immediately after I installed windows. It will run flawless at 4.4 with 1.3v. I'm happy with running it 4.0 with my memory overclocked @ 1800. Coming from a Q9550 that I clocked 3.8 this cpu is much
faster. The ASROCK Extreme 4 is an amazing board. So easy to hook up and configure. Best board I've ever owned by far.
