Hey guys my 500watt PSU just crapped out on me today while playing Frozen Throne i am looking for a new PSU, i got my eyes on the Antec 350Watt Smart blue power, i have heard great things so would this be good enough for my system which is also running a 6600GT which requires a minimum of 350watt psu, would i able to game and use the system without a hitch? such as no rebooting and no lock up, my 500watt psu has been great no random reboots and no lock up so would this be the same?

whatever they say about minimum xyz, the price difference between an antec 350w and an antec 480w is probabyl very negligible, but would give you great stability and the ability to have an upgrade path if you wish to get faster gpu or more hd or whatever. the psu is the most important thing for stability, so always get a higher end wattage from a named brand.

In my experience.. 350W PSU's didn't work well for this kind of systems. Get something more than 400W.

The Antec 350w is more than enough for that setup. Most people are used to cheaper overrated psu's and not a true 350w like the Antec. You would only run into trouble if you were to run 4+ hard drives, a 7800GT vid card, etc and even then it would probably work ok it would just be pushing it.

Oh ok thanks guys yeah i am looking to OC soon hopefuly pushing it to 3.8ghz with a Zalman 7700cu or even higher.

At that speed, you're already at almost half the power that the Power Supply is rated at for the CPU. I'd go with an OCZ 420W at least. It can easily do my 7800GTX and Opteron 165 at 2600MHz.
