whats the highest you can get a 3500+ to on air..

so far ive gotten it to 2.64 stable, but i have been able to get it to 2.75 not stable (can boot up to windows, but cracks out and shit eventually, or hardcore artifacts)... im new to overclocking, so im not sure how much cooling effect shit..

if i were to get better cooling, would that 2.75 be stable?

also, if u got a high clock on air, what were ur fsb/multiplier/ram at...

right now i can get it to 2.75ghz stable on air running a 166 divider...and ive got quite gd cooling on there..max temp is 44degrees..what are your temps and your memory fsb? also what motherboard do you have?

asus a8n sli deluxe...

i don't understand the term divider in overclocking, so bere with my noobelyness

thats what i was at when i was at 2.75, and my ram was at 266 or 200... can remember

anybody? i know im not one of the only ones whove tried to over clock this shit.. hahha

Well first of all u need more voltage, it took my brothers amd 64 3000 939 1.64v to do 2.75ghz, and it will run prime 95 for ever! when he sold me his MOBO, he couldnt get enough voltage to it on his new asus a8n sli delux which is the same as urs. so now he must run it @ 2.65ghz.. isnt 1.58v the highest ur MOBO can do? if your trying to kill in OC with low volts go for a cabye lol 146

the max i can do is 1.65, and its handeling that fine! thats whats so frustrating about this whole thing.

hey, sorry to ask a question on your thread, but if I get a new cooling device such as a XP-90 or a Zalman 7700, how far do you think I will be able to overclock my 3500+ to? Thanks in advance
