Ok i am trying to build a 3500 system for 2grand and there really isnt a lot of options for motherboards. I can build my own computer and such but i really dont know anything about ocing, timines, locks, and stuff like that. This is my first build and hopefully it will go smoothly. My question is...what motherboard should i pick..and do i really need a fancy board if i dont know enough to take advantage of it..or is it just a good board no matter if you plan to OC or not.

I dont quite understand what the nvidia boards are but everyone seems to want them...

thx!

I'd use the Abit AV8, based on the VIA K8T800 Pro chipset. Abit makes the best motherboards out there, and the K8T800 Pro chipset is winning a lot of awards, both here and at other review sites.

I have always had good luck with Abit, so I give a second vote for them...
