The folks over at NordicHardware have news of a very impressive overclock that netted them a final score of 33622 in 3DMark.

The graphics cards were running at 920/980MHz, while the processor, an Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800, was pushed to 5280MHz (440x12) using a mousepot rev3. The motherboard was (a personal favorite of mine), Abit AW9D-MAX, paired with Teamgroup OPB Edition running at 1:1 3-3-3-4 and a Tagan 1100W power supply.

Who gives a crap about 05? Simplified shaders that we won't ever see again.

Or perhaps I'm being too hard on them. But at least give us a run on 06 as well so we have a number to relate to.

you still have to admit that they still did a good run that non of you will ever do so be quiet and let them have some [H]ard earned fame. I don't care that it was 05 jus like the clocks on everything was impressive, witch was the point....

Why is this impressive !??! Its an older canned benchmark, that tells me little to nothing about real world gameplay on a pc...

Bench some games, properly, and then get back to me. :p

uhm, DERRR THEY'RE USING TEMPORARY COOLING (I.E LN2/DICE)

It's so annoying when people bitch about real world games when people are benching competitively, not for real world gameplay.

Yeah seriously. I crap 33,000 3dMarks in 05. It's not that much really.

3dMark doesn't mean much already, but using an outdated version of it is just stupid.

Damn, people are so quick to shot things down. Wait, make it's because this was not achieve with nVidia cards, yeah that's it. If you don't care about 3DMarks why do you even bother commenting. Nice scores by the way.

On a side note that wasn't published, that system can save a 1k word document in .000000345 secs, blowing away the previous record of .00000345 seconds set earlier this year....

Only the CPU, the cards are running stock HSF. Well I guess you need to talk to some one about making a thread for FPS on various games.
