I'm looking to max out my Droid X2 with a 32GB micro SDHC card. I currently have a no-name 8GB Class 4 SD card which stutters during 720p video recording.

I am only able to test my current card with Antutu benchmark as SD Tools does not work on Droid X2. Benchmark says write speed of 3.4MB/s and read of 4.6MB/s. Card is also about 1/2 full.

I was thinking of grabbing this 32GB SandDisk UHC-1 card for $30. Opinion?
Or the samsung flavor option A or option B

Also, what is the best way to transfer the contents of my SD card. Can I simply plug it into my PC and copy the contents to the new drive or does that have the possibility of corrupting installs and such?

This is the one I got

Found a review or two and it seemed to get great results from benchmarks.

As for what's quicker to copy, depends. The particular review I looked at did show slightly slower transfer rates when copying to the card via phone's USB; but it was a relatively small difference.

I did hear lexar was a good brand for sd cards, however, that card you linked does have quite a few 1 star reviews saying it crapped out on them which has me concerned.

In regards to the copying, I did not mean so much speed but more along the lines of...
I'm running out of space on my C:\ drive. Hmmm.. I know! I'll buy a bigger hard drive. Plug it in and copy everything from C:\ to D:\ then remove the old hard drive. Presto. More room.
Obviously that won't work. You would need something like acronis or ghost to pull that off. I don't know if the same principle applies to a smart phones SD card? Basically I don't want to break any software.

You can find Sandisk class 4 32gb cards for about $27. Get one from a reliable source, and you'll be fine. Lifetime warranty, and it's faster than its ratings.

Bestbuy has the Sandisk class 6 64GB card for $49.99 today only. If I didn't already blow $250+tax on the GSIII, I'd get one. The class 10 was on sale for $60 on Amazon yesterday, but that doesn't help much now...

Grabbed the $19.50 PNY Polaroid Class 10 microSD that Newegg had yesterday. Hopefully it can do 1080p with Torque Track Recorder with the Galaxy SIII. If not, I'll just throw a bunch of porn on it for the tablet.

almost all high end android phones support it, it's just not labeled as supported.

Yes, my Galaxy S II supports 64gb cards just fine. Go to amazon and search for your phone model in the reviews if you're not sure.

I just copied from SD to SD and nothing broke.
I even had some apps installed on the SDCard.
Sure, those apps "break" while the USB storage was mounted to Windows, but everything worked fine once I unmounted and still worked after swapping in the new SD card I just copied everything on to.

how does the normal phone storage speed compare to sdhc/sdxc cards?

i was considering getting the international galaxy s3 64gb.

can someone please list some pros to getting an s3 64gb vs s3 16gb + 64gb sdxc?

Well, one you'll have 128GB of storage, the other you'd have 80GB. Other than that... Not much.

oh really? even if you got a class 2 or 4?

(i meant a stock 64gb s3 + no sdhc vs a 16gb s3 + 64gb sdxc btw)
