32Gb ddr4?

just curious is it better to have 4x8Gb or 2x16Gb ddr4 for z390 chipset? mainly for gaming.
 
This ALSO depends on the BIOS for your MB. I had to update my board's BIOS to get it's ability to accept 16 GB chips.
 
2x16... your board supports it, but updating your bios is always a great advice, specially if you are installing new memory.
 
16gb sticks aren't available in as high of speed as 8gb.
 
Yeah, that is the trade off. Most of the CAS timings are slower too. But you are getting 32GB of system ram.
 
whats the current performance DDR4 CAS timing ? 14 or something less?
